Rick and Allen
007Rick and Allen are locals. Rick has been out with me before. It was Allen’s first trip. The weather was perfect for fishing. No rain in view. The tide was high in the inlet at 10 p.m. We met up at the inlet boat ramp. We headed south and caught our croakers. Once the sun went down we headed back to the inlet. The tide was incoming. We fished the mouth and on the very first drift, Rick hooks up! fish on! he pulls it in and it is a perfect 30″ Snook. Stoked! One drift! One fish! It was either going to be a great night or just that one. Rick hooked up the next fish as well, it was just a bit small, 27″. There were a few misses and a few drifts with no hits. Allen finally got into the game and put a nice keeper on the boat, 31″. Rick caught big Snook that was 35″. We got a good pic and released. Allen caught another nice slot sized Snook as well. We moved around and tried to catch a Redfish or two. We never could find them that night. With there limit already in the box, they decided to call it quits once the tide slacked. It was just before 11 p.m. That was a good night. The bite was strong. Good size fish! Thanks again Rick and Allen, it was great fishing with you two. See you in October!
