Capt. Eric

Jesse, George, and Joe
020Well this was a long day we split the trip up to a morning and a night tip. We started off from Capt. Hiram’s at 8 a.m. We went straight to catching croakers for the switch of tide to outgoing at 9:30 a.m. The weather was nice, just a little windy with a light chop. We caught enough croakers for the entire day. The Inlet was packed with boats. We pulled right up and got a spot on the rip.

It was Joe who who hooked up first with a oversized Red. After a quick photo, we safely released the Redfish. A few minutes later Joe hooked up and landed a 32″ Snook. Just slid in the slot. Jesse also caught a oversize Redfish. Well the bite was pretty slow, only a few fish were being caught from the other boats around us. We decided to call it quits and try again for the night bite.

I picked the three back up again at 8 p.m. from Capt. Hiram’s. The tide was incoming. We still had plenty of bait and went straight to fishing. Jesse hooked up first and landed another Redfish. Joe was fire with the Snook. He put the next two fish on the boat, they both were slot size Snook. That gave us our limit on the day. Nicely done Joe. We stayed and fished for a bit until the bite was over. Most of the fish were in the mouth. George thanks for the pork sandwich it was awesome. Jesse, Joe, and George, thanks again as well for the support. It was a pleasure fishing with you again. Enjoy that fresh fish.
