Jen, Ken and I

007 We left from the Sebastian Inlet around 7 a.m. We went and caught pins first. The birds were diving in the middle of the river on the threadfins. I threw the cast net 4 or 5 times and ended with a couple of dozen. We left for the 90ft ledge to try our luck with the bottom fish. It was a little rough on the way out. Once we got anchored up it was just 9 a.m. I hooked up first and landed a keeper Red Snapper. I was stoked. Jen hooked up next and as much as i hate to admit it, I seriously goofed. She became tangled with Kens line and I was trying to help, I decided to cut Ken’s line and save Jen’s nice fish she had on. Instead I cut her line and that was that. I was pretty pissed at myself. Jen handled it better than I did. I caught a Mutton Snapper that was a keeper. Ken landed a 29 inch Gag Grouper. Jen did end up catching a Cobia. We lost a few good fish as well. At least I know I did. It was a beautiful day out. It was a fun day of fishing and we got to bring home some fresh fish.
