Rob and Marcie

002 Rob and Marcie live in Ohio and visit the area quit often. We met at the inlet around 4 p.m. We went to catch our pins and pigs. Bait was no problem. We made our way back to the inlet just before dark. The tide was outgoing and was a little rough. It was fish able though. The Tarpon were in the rough the night before so I was hoping we could hook up a few. We never did see or hook up with any Tarpon. The Redfish were super thick though. Marcie hooked up first and it was a monster Red. Rob landed it for Marcie, it was a little much for her. The waves were rough and it made it really tough.

The next drift through, Rob hooked up and fought the biggest Red of the evening. It was around the 40lb. range. He had it right next to the boat and the line snapped. Just a little too much pressure. Rob continued to hook up on every drift after that. He landed 4 or 5 big, fat, oversized Reds. When the tide switched at 8:30 p.m. the bite shut off. We never did get another hit. We decided to call it quits at 10 p.m. Rob and Marcie it was my pleasure and thanks again. Hope you two have a great year and hopefully we will fish together again.
