Lenny, Tony, and David

Lenny Snook 9-09-07 Lenny and Tony have been out with me before and have caught some nice fish. David was his first. We met up at the dock at 5 p.m. The weather has been blowing pretty hard lately and today it has calmed. Bait is another story, it is getting difficult to find them in numbers. I need to explore some old spots. We managed with 3 dozen.

The tide was still incoming at dark and I could get the boat out in the mix of it. Lenny hooked instantly with a nice Red. The hook pulled on that one and a few others but soon he landed a nice Redfish that was just small enough to bring home. Lenny caught a few more that were in the 30 inch range. The mullet are thick right now they have been showing up, its that time. Tony caught a nice big Red before the tide went slack and the bite stopped.
As the tide began moving out the fish started to bite again. David was learning the ropes of the inlet at night. He had a few misses before hooking and landing his first fish, a nice Redfish. The inlet was getting rough so we headed to the back. Lenny didn’t waste any time and hooked a nice Snook and landed it with mad skills. Tony caught one as well which a little smaller but was just there 28″.  We ran out of bait and switched to plugs. David caught 2 on plugs but both were small. Tony caught one small one as well. Thanks guys, it is always a pleasure.
