It must be Daytona 500 time. Chet, Pat, and Michael fish with every year just before the big race. They like to fish the night for a shot at the big Reds. Well we met at the Inlet Marina. We went and got out bait first off. The tide was incoming most of the night. The slack was around 10:30 p.m. We fished it hard for about a hour before Chet broke the ice and put a nice 23lb. Red on the boat. We did not get another hit for another hour and a half. Pretty much when the tide started to slow the bite picked up. Pat put the biggest Red on the boat. It was over 30lbs. It bottomed out my Boga grip, but i would say 33lbs or so. They each caught 2 Reds a piece. It started slow but ended in a good fashion. Thanks again guys for the trip and hope you enjoyed the race, it was a good one. See you guys next year!
