Snook season opener at Sebastian Inlet

September 1, 2015
Capt. Eric

Snook season opener at Sebastian Inlet. Dave and Dave from Tampa. It was a beautiful day for the first day of September. It is also the opener of Snook season. We met up in the morning at the Inlet Marina. We went and caught Croakers for our bait. The tide in the Sebastian Inlet was outgoing till 8 a.m. then incoming till about 1:30 p.m. The Snook bite was tough this morning on the incoming. So we caught some really nice Reds. Big Dave caught a nice Keeper Red. They also had a great double up which they each landed.

After the Reds we took a break for a couple of hours and met back at the Inlet Marina at 2 p.m. We went Snook fishing and the bite was slow to begin with. We caught lots of Jacks. Then around 3:30 p.m. the Snook bite turned on. Big Dave caught the keeper Snook of the 2015 fall season. Big Dave and Dave each caught a few more Snook before Dave got his keeper Snook. The Snook bite was pretty strong. I even got in on the fun and caught a few. Thanks Dave and big Dave it was a lot of fun to fish with you both. Hope you enjoy the fresh fish.
