Brad, Joey, and John

DCIM100GOPROBrad used to live locally and fish with me occasionally until he moved to North Carolina a couple of years ago. He was back in town for his son David’s wedding(congrats David) and wanted to take his grandson’s John and Joey fishing for the day. Well the weather was perfect, The tide was incoming.  We started off the afternoon drifting the Sebastian Inlet catching a few Jacks. The Snook were marking up big time so we anchored up and fished for a bit. John hooked up and landed a big Red.

We decided to run the beach to the Spanish Mackerel. Joey and John had a blast catching the Spanish. Again, almost every cast was a hook up. Great action for the boys. Great to see kids get so excited about fishing, one of the times that I truly love my job. With a cooler full of Spanish we went back to the Inlet for the last hour before dark. The Snook were still there marking thick but no luck. We were catching Jacks one after another though. With it getting dark and no baits left we headed in. Thanks Brad for thinking of me and bringing your grandkids fishing. It was great to see you again. Take care and enjoy your winter in the mountains.
