Jose and George
The weather straightened out just enough to get offshore for a day. Jose and George live in Orlando. With all of the cold weather that we have had, the Grouper and Snapper seasons are in effect now and they are both closed. We had a huge fish kill in the river because of the freezing temps. I was unsure what we would even fish for. I decide that we would start off fishing some 60ft. stuff. The surface temp was 64. They both were catching Sea Bass left and right. Most of them were just shy of being keepers. We moved around and fished 3 or 4 spots and it was all the same action. George did catch a Red grouper that was around 20″. It was just rough enough that I did not feel comfortable going farther out to the 90ft stuff. It was getting time to go in as well. The weather did end up laying down nicely on our way in. The next, Wednesday was really nice and heard of a few rays with Cobia on them popping up. Thanks again Jose and George.
