Justin, Jim, and Jim#2
Justin from Whitey’s Bait and Tackle, his father Jim and a family friend, another Jim(Jim#2) from Texas. I met Jim and Jim#2 at the Inlet Marina at 4. We headed and caught pins and pigs for the night. Bait was a little slow. We managed to get a few though. Just before dark we started fishing. The tide was incoming with the switch around 8:30 p.m. I was hoping the Reds would be there and Jim#2 could pull on one of the big monsters, but the bite was really slow. We did have a some action though. Jim caught the first two fish, which were both short Snook. Caught those on live baits, near the bridge. We picked Justin up around 8 p.m. at the L-dock. Jim#2 caught a couple of short Snook as well. We trolled some plugs for awhile and lost a few fish. It’s still amazes me how a fish can throw 6 hooks(2 trebles). I know for a fact one of them was a keeper, because it came off right next to the boat. Justin caught a couple of small snook as well on plugs and artificials. All the Snook seem to be short right now. We need a closed season, so some fish can grow. Well it was time to call it quits. Thanks guys for the trip. I really appreciate it. Jim#2 next time your in town, we will go fishing on me! Thanks again.
