Capt. Eric

Miguel, Brian, Chip, Anthony, and Phillip
009

Miguel, Brian, Chip, and Philip fished with me two years ago. Brian lives in Atlanta and the other ones live in Orlando. Anthony also lives in O-town, this was his first trip with attitude. They stayed at Capt. Hiram’s. The 5 of them had me booked for two days of fishing. The weather was kind of questionable. A little cold and windy. We met up around 4 p.m. and started caching bait. We caught enough for the two days, pins and pigs. Once the sun set we headed to the inlet. The tide was pretty much slack. We fished the mouth for some Reds. Philip was first to hook up and land a big Red. Brian caught the next big Red. Chip joined in as well with a big Red. Anthony caught a monster Snook about 28lbs.(no picture).

Once the tide started to ripping out, it made live baits a little tough, so we switched and started pulling plugs. Let’s just say we never fished a live bait again after that. We were catching Snook one after the other. Everyone got to catch a Snook. A keeper size was another story. We only ended with two keepers. That was pretty cool because Chip and Philip who are father and son doubled up and caught them at the same time. It was a goodnight of fishing and they were hungry so we headed back to Hiram’s so they could get a food order in before they closed.
