Capt. Eric

Ken and Dan,
010Well its been a few days since I last fished. I just had my shift cables and control box replaced and my boat is as good as new. Well, it’s as smooth as butter. I was needing to get back out and see what was going on. We had no problem with the bait, plenty of pins and pigs. Same spot as the last few weeks. The tide was going out at dark and was still slowly moving out when we left at 9:30 p.m. I hate to say it but last week I made a comment that Dan was A.K.A. Netboy. Lets just say that I would eat my words and ended up doing all the netting. Dan was on fire as first putting two keepers in the boat. I had a third one that looked like a possible keeper, but lost it at the boat. I was not having a very good night, must of left a signature on every rock in the inlet. Ken hooked up a few times but lost them. He did land a big, oversized Snook on a plug, which we photographed and released. We tried for that third keeper but only luck was with the Reds. The bite slowed down as the tide was slowing down. We were out of bait and it was time to get. Wasn’t a great night of fishing but was still a lot of fun. Maybe we will whack them tonight.
