Capt. Alan and Steve
Capt. Alan fished with me last month and Steve is one of his buddies from New Jersey. The weather is perfect right now. The winds have laid down and the Temp. is just right. I picked them up at Capt. Hiram’s around 4 p.m. Bait was not much of a problem, plenty of pigs and pins. At dark the tide is incoming, it switched at 9 p.m. When we started fishing we started off in the mouth and instantly hooked up. Allen hooked up, then a few seconds later Steve hooked up as well. Because of another boat not knowing what they were doing, Steve’s fish got off. It is the weekend and every yahoo around is at Sebastian Inlet. Alan landed his Snook and it was just a bit short, 27 7/8″. The bite was on we missed a few good fish and landed a few Reds. Steve’s first Red was about 15lbs. and his second Red was 28lbs. Alan caught a few Reds also.
Once the tide switched and started moving out, The bite picked up again. Alan wasted no time and put a keeper Snook in the box. Alan also caught two that were to short. Steve was having a little difficulty with the Snook. They are a little trickier than the Reds. He did catch one Snook that was just a bit short. We ran out of bait and pulled plugs a couple of times, but it was too tough with the boat traffic and the bucktailers from the cat walk. We called it a night and headed back to Capt. Hiram’s. Thanks Alan and Steve, it was a pleasure fishing with the both of you. Steve don’t forget and email me those pics so I can post them. Thanks again!!
