Capt. Eric

Renee and Alex
003The weather was perfect. Sunny and calm with afternoon thunderstorms. The Tide in the Sebastian Inlet was high at 8:45 a.m. I picked Renee and Alex up at Capt. Hiram’s. Croakers were no problem. When the tide switched we anchored up and fished for the Snook. The bite was a little slow. Renee and Alex each got to catch a good size Snook each. After that we ran the beaches looking for action. I spotted a Ray in about 40ft. traveling with 3 Cobia on it. I made a cast and hooked the middle size fish, which ended up just a little short. There was a nice big Cobia there as well which was around 50lbs. By the time I had a chance to get a second bait out in the water the big Cobia had already swam to close to the boat. Man that hurt, its tough to see that and not be able to at least get a decent cast off. Well it was still a great day. Thank you Renee and Alex, it was fun getting to fish with you two.
