003Russ and his boys Jamie, Garret, and Ryan met me at the Sebastian Inlet boat ramp. The weather was questionable. Rain moving in from the west. It was going to be a half day, like it or not. The tide in the inlet is high at 5:40 a.m. Bait was no problem, croakers still holding strong. After bait fishing we anchored up at the inlet. The Snook bite was a little slow. Garrett and Jamie caught a nice size Snook each. Russ had one shot as well but never got the hook to set. That was it for the two hours that we fished the tip. We netted a few crabs that were coming through. We spent some time looking for the Redfish but never spotted them.

I decided we should run the beaches. We came across the Bonita and Ryan quickly hooked and landed one. That was pretty cool. We chased the schools, running and gunning. Never could get another hook up. We also came across schools of greenies. Ryan sabikied a few. The storms were getting close and the winds were blowing west pretty strong. We started drift fishing through the bait pods with live greenies out the back. We had one big Tarpon hit and roll on one of our baits. Everyone got to see the fish but we never got a hook in it. That was cool though. We made a few more drifts up until it started storming and we had to run back. It was a fun trip and a great group of guys to fish with. Thanks again Russ, Jamie, Garret, and Ryan hope to fish with you guys in the future.
