Lavonda, Peggy, Derek, and Brandon
Deremonster Jack Lavonda, Peggy, Derek, and Brandon are all related, Grandma, Mom, and Sons. They are from Kansas and never really have been in the ocean fishing before. They couldn’t meet up till 11 a.m. The tide at the inlet was high at 10:50 a.m. It was going to work out. We went and caught our croakers and gave the tide a bit to get flowing.

Once we started fishing for Snook the bite was on. We had fish on with in a few minutes. Derek missed the first hit. Brandon set up nicely on his first hit and landed a good size Snook approx. 16lbs. He was stoked, his biggest fish ever before that was a 7lb. Bass. Derek jumped right back and landed a fatty as well. The two caught a couple more each and Derek caught a Jack. Lavonda, there Mom had a little tough of a time getting one to stay on. The bite shut off like a light switch. We decided to check and see if the Reds were coming up and they were. We must of made 30 drifts and had some fish really close and crabs were right there just couldn’t get that hit. We finished the day catching some BIG JACKS!!! Derek caught two of them and I’m guessing 45lbs. They were big. Brandon caught one that 16lbs. Well it was another fun trip. Thanks Lavonda, Peggy, Derek, and Brandon it was a pleasure to fish with all of you.
