Capt. Eric Phil and Lacy
Phil and Lacy are friends from high school. They grew up in Ocalo, Fl. which is near Orlando. Lacy now lives in Idaho. Phil is in Sebastian. I picked them up at Capt. Hiram’s. in the morning. We spent a bit catching croakers and even netted a few crabs on the weeds. The beginning of outgoing is near 7 a.m. The weather was calm, sunny and HOT!
We headed out to Bethel. Small baits on the can. We slow trolled around the ledge for awhile and only had two hits. Lost both. The Cobia have been around with the sharks and we figured we would go and try that. Once we got anchored and started seeing the Sharks, Lacy tossed a croaker over to it and it took about a second for a Cobia to nail it. First fish was 18 lbs. Next Fish hooked up was Phil and it was a good fish, 28lbs. There were two other short fish caught. Lacy did catch a third keeper at the end that was 24lbs. That was three nice keepers, plenty of fresh fish. That was a lot of fun. It was great fishing with the bot of you. Thanks again Phil and Lacy!
