Dan, Dave, and Wes
West winds this morning. We were kind of not sure if we wated to go for Dolphin or Permit. It came down to a coin toss. The quater landed on heads twice. Dolphin fishing it would be. The winds were S.W. 10 – 15 mph. It was a little choppy in the morning, but laid down nice in the afternoon. We worked our way S.E. and put lines out at 12oft. We trolled for a few hours . It was slow in the morning. We made our way back and forth from 120 ft. to 280ft. a couple of times.
It was 1:40 p.m. when we finally hooked our first fish, actually two fish. It was a double hook up on Dolphin. Dan grabbed the bigger fish and I grabbed the smaller one. We landed both. We trolled back to that spot and hooked up another 20lb. plus Dolphin. Dave did a good job of cranking that one in. Well, we trolled for a bit longer and no luck. After we left we heard on the radio that they turned on. You know what they say hind sight is 20/20. It was still a beautiful day and we each got a fat bag of Dolphin.
nice job dan!good fish u got
