Chipper and I

The weather was good. A little chilly with a light chop on the ocean. Chipper and I went for it. We killed the bait with a few throws of the net. We had plenty of Pins and Some Threadfins. We set out for the 90ft. stuff a little north out of the inlet.  We came across millions of Bluefish feeding. We caught a few and headed back out. Fishing was slow on the bottom, the water temp is cold. The surface was 66 degrees. The bottom must be a lot colder. I caught a small Scamp Grouper, Chipper caught a small Gag Grouper and a Mutton snapper that was just barely a keeper. We tried a few spots anchored and drifting with different variety of baits. It was just slow all around. We need some warm weather, like two weeks of it.
