Thom

Thom 2 keepers The last night of Snook fishing this season. The weaher was perfect. The front was approaching and the tide’s were just right. We left from the inlet and set off to catch some bait. Thom whipped me at catching bait, first time ever. Everything comes to a end, I quess. Thom set the record pretty high for consecutive doubles on the bait at 6. The boat record is yours truly at 7.

When we got to the inlet the tide was incoming. We set up and fished the east side for the Reds. It wasn’t long and Thom hooked up and landed a nice 33″ big fat Snook. We snapped a good picture and released it. We both missed a couple of fish. I had a nice one on and lost it half way through. The bite was kinda of short because that was it. We fished through the switch of tides and Thom caught one more Snook that was a bit short. We switched over to plugs and started to catch some fish. First fish was another 33″ Snook. The next fish was perfect slot at 31″. We caught a few more that were oversived. The final keeper was 29″ but fat. It was a lot of fun, we were hooking up left and right. I did lose 2 plugs that sucked. Season closes on the 15th. and reopens Feb. 1st. Thom, thanks again!
