The humidity is gone and so is summer. Welcome fall! Welcome holidays! Al, Stacy, and Frank have fished with me for the past few years. I picked them up at Capt Hiram’s just after the TB Rays were eliminated from the playoffs.

We went and caught plenty of bait(pinfish). A lot of mullet right now moving around the flats and the Sebastian Inlet area. Al was fishing some hand picks and caught a Ladyfish and a monster Bluefish. The tide in the Inlet is outgoing til 11 p.m. We fished the rough waters off the south jetty. It was extreme fishing at it finest! Al put the first fish on the boat of the night. It was a nice Red that weighed 23lbs. Stacy hooked up next and landed a big 34″ Snook. On the next drift, Frank joined in on the action and caught a nice Red. There were some BIG REDS in the inlet last night. Frank had the biggest of the night, which was approximately 35lbs. I guess I need a 60lb. Boga grip! Frank also had a 33″ Snook. Those were the only two snook caught. The Redfish bite was happening and we were hooking up on every drift.

The winds picked up around 10 p.m. and the tide started to slow. The fishing got a little difficult. We fished till about 11 p.m. and called it a great night! No keeper fish but a lot of keeper memories! Thanks Al, Stacy, and Frank it is always a blast fishing with you. Hopefully the weather will cooperate for our Thursday trip.

The weather was perfect. We met in the morning at the Inlet Marina. We started off in the flats fishing for some Trout or Reds. Not much luck besides a couple missed fish and a ladyfish. I decided to make a move and go out in the ocean. The greenie pods were a little harder to find. Once we had enough we made a run for it. The kings were a little north than the previous day. once we got our baits out, it wasn’t long until the first king crushed a bait. The fish on the average were a little smaller than Saturday. We had plenty of action, we could of easily limited out. They only wanted to keep two fish for eat so released all the rest. On the way back through the Sebastian Inlet we stopped so they could catch some Jacks. The Jacks were in the 10lb. range. Everyone had a blast catching a few of the Jacks. Great weather, great day! Thanks again Dave, Tom, and Ken.

They both showed up wearing Yankee hats, oh boy here we go. Just kidding! The winds were still blowing pretty strong from the north, So we were kind of limited to the fishing. We started off drifting and jigging the flats. William hooked up right away in fact he landed two nice Trout in the first few minutes. Next we fished a dock and caught a few small trout and William also had a nice Flounder right to the boat but lost it. We kept moving around too some different spots that were leeward. Bill caught a few good size Trout as well. We finished the day in the Sebastian Inlet catching the Bluefish one after the other. For Yankee fans Bill and William ended up being a lot of fun to fish with. Thanks again guys for a great day. Hopefully, we can fish next time your down.

Phil and his friend. They are staying at Longpoint campground. We met at the Inlet Marina. We caught some small Reds right off. With a few Trout as well. We fished a lot of flats and caught some Blues, Ladyfish, and Trout. Later we moved over to the Inlet and got some more Blues, near the jetty’s. The water is clearing up and the water temp is coming up as well. The tide is incoming most of the morning.

Yes, they are cheese heads and proud of it. What a great group! We started the day off at the Inlet Marina. There has been a really bad fish kill and it smells pretty foul about now. The pogies came in so thick that they choked themselves out. We managed to ignore the odor and get some fishing in. The tide was incoming most of the morning. We fished the bluefish just outside the Inlet. They were catching on almost every cast. Bear managed to hook and land a nice 31″ Redfish which weighed 12 lbs.

We moved inside and fished a few flats. They caught a few Ladyfish and a couple of small Jacks. There was dead pogies everywhere that one could see. Well hopefully this cleans up soon. Overall, the water temp. has been rising and there has been more movement happening in the river. Thanks again, Jeff, Bear, Tonya and Victoria. It was a pleasure meeting and taking you four out fishing for the day. Have a great year and hopefully we will all get to fish again in the future.

Eric and his son David are from Michigan and have two homes here in Florida. The weather was a little windy. We met up at the Inlet Marina. We started fishing just outside the inlet for Bluefish. A hook up with every cast. They were decent size Blues. They had with those on light tackle. The tide was switching to incoming, so we switched to try for Flounder. They weren’t biting on the beginning of the incoming. David caught a keeper jigging in the back. The Spanish were moving through and they caught a few of them, Ladyfish were in the mix as well. We finished the day trying for Pompano on the flats, no luck. Still a little warm. We did catch a few Jacks though. It was a good day with a lot of action. No big trophy fish but a lot of non stop action. Thanks Eric and David it was a pleasure fishing and getting to meet you. Tightlines til next time!!

I picked three guys up from Capt. Hiram’s. The winds were starting to blow pretty hard out of the east. We fished the flats most of the morning. Everyone caught a few Trout on jigs. Jim had the only keeper. After fishing a few spots we moved into the Inlet. The tide was slowly still incoming and ready to switch around 11 a.m. We jigged the back for the 3 spotted Flounder. We caught tons of junk til we finally found a little spot were they were hanging. They all caught a handful of Flounder. Jim got the only keeper, again! Ralph, Jim, and Fred, hope you guys had a great time and hope I was of helpful for your week full of fishing. Let me know how you guys did? Hopefully we can do it again next year. It was a great pleasure fishing with you three. Thanks again!
