Eric http://attitudefishing.com/?p=1793 Weather was perfect. Calm wind and seas were 1-2ft. The tide in the Sebastian Inlet is incoming in the morning. The switch of tides is early afternoon. With the calm seas, I figured it would be a good day to look for some Cobia. Ken and I searched til we found a good weedline in some cleaner water. We found some small Triple Tail. I did catch one that was 20″ keeper. Let me tell you that was some seriously good eating! yums!  We found three different Cobia.

First Cobia we choked on. It was the big one too. It was probably 50lbs. We spotted it twice more but no luck. Finally came across a 25lber that we put in the box.  The next fish was short and we released it. We missed the Snook bite at the inlet but Ken caught a Jack and we seen a few Reds caught. It was a great day on the water. It had been too long since my last day in the ocean.

The weather has been not so hot the past week. We had rain and tropical storm winds for three days.  The water is really dirty and at a high level right now.  Not to mention the full moon! Well we decided to check it out and see what was happening. The tide starts incoming around 6 p.m.  There are lots of schools of mullet moving through and the Blues and Jacks are having a field day. After catching our bait we played with Blues and Jacks on light tackle and had some fun.  We fished the incoming tide most of the night. Thom caught the only big fish, an oversize Red.

It is summer in Florida! Hot and thunderstorms in the afternoon! The tide in the Sebastian Inlet is outgoing all morning. We caught a few croakers and fished for the Snook. No luck.  The beaches have some greenies pods working. The Jacks are in schools along the beaches. We had some fun with them. Patrick did real well. He hooked and caught  3 or 4. Pat caught a couple as well. They were catching them on jigs and a topwater Spook Jr. It was a fun trip. Thanks Pat and Patrick it a pleasure!
