The weather was nice but the seas were picking up. There was a light wind in the morning out of the S.E. We fished for a bit just outside the inlet. There was plenty of bait pods to get our greenies. Drake caught a Bonita. Clint was wanting to try his luck with a Goliath. I headed offshore just in time because once we made it out, the winds picked up. We slow trolled some lives and caught a few kingfish and a lot of Barracuda. After the family had there action, it was time for Clint to test his skills.Clint( The man) pulled it off. On his 3rd chance( hook up)he got a Goliath to swim away from the Buoy. 30 mins later we landed a nice size Goliath. I love seeing and grabbing those sea monsters when there next to the boat. That was a very cool moment. Clint was so stoked to land it. Just seeing how happy he was, keeps me stoked. Another great Memory! Thanks again Clint and Tracy!

Another great day of weather. In the morning there was no winds and the ocean was a lake. First thing we went and cast netted some bait (pins and butters), then we ran straight out to Bethel Buoy. On the way we came across a big school of bait. Mostly Sardines with a few thread-fins mixed in. We skipped the buoy and went to the ledge. Eric was free-lining a Sardine and hooked up first with a nice Cobia. I got to give it the gaff. I think that is my favorite moment when fishing. It was near 23lbs. We fished the bottom for a couple of hours, catching Sea-Bass, a couple of Gag Grouper, two decent Mangrove Snappers, a Mutton Snapper, a big Trigger, and a few Kingfish. We did search for more Cobia and never were able to spot any. The winds picked up a bit out of the S.E. and it was getting late, so we headed in. It was a lot of fun and a great day of fishing.

The weather straightened out just enough to get offshore for a day. Jose and George live in Orlando. With all of the cold weather that we have had, the Grouper and Snapper seasons are in effect now and they are both closed. We had a huge fish kill in the river because of the freezing temps. I was unsure what we would even fish for. I decide that we would start off fishing some 60ft. stuff. The surface temp was 64. They both were catching Sea Bass left and right. Most of them were just shy of being keepers. We moved around and fished 3 or 4 spots and it was all the same action. George did catch a Red grouper that was around 20″. It was just rough enough that I did not feel comfortable going farther out to the 90ft stuff. It was getting time to go in as well. The weather did end up laying down nicely on our way in. The next, Wednesday was really nice and heard of a few rays with Cobia on them popping up. Thanks again Jose and George.

The water temp. in the river is mostly 58 degrees. I met up with Ben and Tim at Capt. Hiram’s dock. They had two of there friends/family fishing with Capt. Gus Brugger. It was a fish off! Well we had two different agenda’s. First, we both started off fishing for Pompano. No luck, not even a bite. Gus went to fish some nearby island and we went outside the inlet and fished the beaches for a few. Can’t believe we could not even find a bluefish. Capt. Gus was getting into some small Trout and Ladyfish with a Bluefish here and there. They were at 30-40 fish. (SO THEY SAY!) There was a calcutta going between the two boats for the biggest keeper and editable fish. Ben was all about trying for a Grouper. We set off to do some trolling. We trolled for about a hour before Ben hooked up. It was a good fish, we pulled him out and it was 24 1/4″. That was is it, the winning fish in both categories. We got lucky, other than a small trout and 1 Ladyfish and a baitwell full of pins that was all of our action. It was nice day though, the weather cleared up and it warmed right up. Thanks again Guys for for fishing with Attitude Adjustment.

They are in town on vacation. I picked them up at the Sebastian Inlet. The tide in the inlet was high at 6:45 a.m. We ran out and caught some croakers. Then we moved on to Greenies. We jumped one Tarpon that was pretty cool. He actually jumped twice before throwing the hook. Mike caught a Black Tip Shark that was about 4 feet long. We slow trolled for a bit and that was our only hits. We went and fished the Inlet for a bit and not much luck on the Snook. We did catch a few small Jacks. We eventually gave up on the Snook and moved inside and fished. Mike caught a decent little Grouper on a Threadfin. The water is still pretty dirty on the outgoing, from all the rain we have been getting. It was a pleasure fishing with the four of you. Thanks again Heidi, Mike, Austin, and Hunter. I hope to see you guys again in the future.

Hiram’s and we went and caught Croakers. There was alot of garbage and debris moving through. We anchored up on a few different spots and no luck. We seen two fish caught from the jetty. We made our way to some docks and fished a bit. Don caught a nice 20 inch grouper and that was it. The winds really picked up and started to blow hard and fishing was getting tougher. We decided to call it. Thanks Don for coming out fishing and look forward to getting on some fish in July.

We set out for the 90ft. stuff a little north out of the inlet. We came across millions of Bluefish feeding. We caught a few and headed back out. Fishing was slow on the bottom, the water temp is cold. The surface was 66 degrees. The bottom must be a lot colder. I caught a small Scamp Grouper, Chipper caught a small Gag Grouper and a Mutton snapper that was just barely a keeper. We tried a few spots anchored and drifting with different variety of baits. It was just slow all around. We need some warm weather, like two weeks of it.

Gary has been out with me before, this time he brought some of his friends Chris and John to spend two days with me fishing. John is from Atlanta and Chris is from Buffalo. Chris is a pro football player in the NFL. We met up at the inlet and went to catch our pins for the night. Bait was no problem. We moved into the inlet and caught more Bluefish than we could handle. We were hoping to hook into some Reds. But not much luck. Just before dark, John hooked into a grouper and landed it near the bridge. Well we tried on the Reds for a couple of hours past dark but they never turned on. I quess they probably ate enough the night before. We decided to just try again in the morning.

The birds were diving in the middle of the river on the threadfins. I threw the cast net 4 or 5 times and ended with a couple of dozen. We left for the 90ft ledge to try our luck with the bottom fish. It was a little rough on the way out. Once we got anchored up it was just 9 a.m. I hooked up first and landed a keeper Red Snapper. I was stoked. Jen hooked up next and as much as i hate to admit it, I seriously goofed. She became tangled with Kens line and I was trying to help, I decided to cut Ken’s line and save Jen’s nice fish she had on. Instead I cut her line and that was that. I was pretty pissed at myself. Jen handled it better than I did. I caught a Mutton Snapper that was a keeper. Ken landed a 29 inch Gag Grouper. Jen did end up catching a Cobia. We lost a few good fish as well. At least I know I did. It was a beautiful day out. It was a fun day of fishing and we got to bring home some fresh fish.
