The winds a light west in the morning. They picked up though in the afternoon. I had finger mullet and mud minnows ready to go when Bud and his family arrived in the morning. The tide was incoming and we set anchor on the north side. Some people have all the luck! So, I am tying up the second rig and Bud tosses a bait out and just like that fish on! It is a 7.5 lb. Flounder. Ten minutes later and Lee hooks up and lands a 6 lb. Flounder. The next hour was like that one nice fish after the other. The tide switched and the bite was done. Hopefully that was enough fresh fish for the family pre-thanksgiving dinner.

We went and netted some pinfish and tried fishing the tip for Snook or Reds but no luck. We decided to call it a day around 12 p.m. That was a fun morning of fishing when the bite was on. Thanks Bud for the support and bringing the family fishing. Happy Holidays!

They both showed up wearing Yankee hats, oh boy here we go. Just kidding! The winds were still blowing pretty strong from the north, So we were kind of limited to the fishing. We started off drifting and jigging the flats. William hooked up right away in fact he landed two nice Trout in the first few minutes. Next we fished a dock and caught a few small trout and William also had a nice Flounder right to the boat but lost it. We kept moving around too some different spots that were leeward. Bill caught a few good size Trout as well. We finished the day in the Sebastian Inlet catching the Bluefish one after the other. For Yankee fans Bill and William ended up being a lot of fun to fish with. Thanks again guys for a great day. Hopefully, we can fish next time your down.

The tide switched around 2 p.m. Once the tide slacked, we packed up and headed back to the Inlet Marina.

Skip and Brian came up from south Florida, to try for one of of Sebastian Inlet’s doormats. Skip is the owner of Ocean Eyes polarized sunglasses, Check out there website./www.oceaneyes.biz/. The weather was cold and foggy. The tide was slack at light which is 6:30 a.m. It was incoming all morning. The finger mullet were in the tidal pool. Once we started fishing, Brian caught the first Flounder. Skip caught the second and I caught the third. Brian hooked up with a big fish, which ended up being a 26″ Gag Grouper. Skip was hooked up with one as well at the same time until it broke the line. The total for the day was 12 keeper Flounder and 1 keeper Grouper. It was a good day! Thanks Skip and Brian, it was a pleasure to fish with you two.

Eric and his son David are from Michigan and have two homes here in Florida. The weather was a little windy. We met up at the Inlet Marina. We started fishing just outside the inlet for Bluefish. A hook up with every cast. They were decent size Blues. They had with those on light tackle. The tide was switching to incoming, so we switched to try for Flounder. They weren’t biting on the beginning of the incoming. David caught a keeper jigging in the back. The Spanish were moving through and they caught a few of them, Ladyfish were in the mix as well. We finished the day trying for Pompano on the flats, no luck. Still a little warm. We did catch a few Jacks though. It was a good day with a lot of action. No big trophy fish but a lot of non stop action. Thanks Eric and David it was a pleasure fishing and getting to meet you. Tightlines til next time!!
