Marc and family from Quebec. We met up at the Inlet Marina. We went straight to catching pinfish. The tide in the inlet was incoming til 6 p.m. we fished the mouth for a bit. Marc was hooking up with Bluefish on every cast. It was really rough and Marc’s wife and daughter started to feel a little sick. We dropped them at the dock and headed back out for another hour. We fished the back and got into some nice Snook. Marc was classic, he was having so much fun pulling on them Snook. He landed 2 Snook. One was 30″ and the other was 33″. He lost one at the boat as well that was the biggest, probably around 36″. Marc it was great fishing with you. It’s always nice to have customers that enjoy the whole experience. Thanks again for everything and I look forward to our next trip.

Good day! The weather was nice. Trudy and her three sons wanted to fish the river. We fished the flats with live shrimp. We came across schools of  8-10 lb. Jacks. Everyone caught a few. It was kind of busy, fun though. After they were worn out on the Jacks we moved and caught a few smaller Trout and some more Jacks. Thanks again Trudy for fishing with attitude. I picked George and Billy up at Capt. Hiram’s at 5 p.m. We set out to get bait. No problem catching pins. We fished bait for an hour or so. We went into the inlet a little before dark. The tide started to come in around 6:30. George and Billy played with the Blues and Jacks. Catching a fish on almost cast. We were just using a silver spoon. Some Snook being caught as well on small bucktails. There was quite a feeding frenzy going on.

Once it got dark the Blues moved out of there and we could get a bait down. George hooked up and landed a nice Red that bottomed out my 30lb. scale. Billy had two nice fish hooked up on the north side and he just had a hard time turning the fish and with a lot of lines off the north jetty we lost both fish. we will get them next time Billy. Well it was still a great trip with some good action. Thanks again George it was great fishing with you again.

The weather has been a little windy.  The winds were blowing hard out of the SSE. The water level is really low right now as well. Being limited on our options we fished the flats. Jason and Justin are from Kentucky. We fished with jigs and caught some Bluefish, Ladyfish, Jacks, and Trout. The sun was out and it was a nice day, just windy. The tide is incoming in the morning. Plenty of pinfish and schools of mullet moving in the flats. Fishing Jason and Justin again  Tues. hopefully we find some bigger fish with some decent weather.

Dave , Bryan and Alyce are from Canada. They come down every year and stay in Melbourne, Beach. The winds were calm first thing at 6 a.m. By the time I got the boat in the water, the winds were already blowing steady. They switched and started to blow out of the N.E. We Started off drifting the flat behind the inlet. Dave and Bryan were catching Ladyfish on almost every cast.

The ocean was rough, we slowly worked our way up the beach. There were Kingfish sky rocketing, we caught a few croakers and few blue runners. We slowed trolled the bluerunners back to the inlet. Dave hooked up first with a nice King. It was a close call, both lines were tangled and were sitting out back of the boat. I was untangling the lines and seen the King coming up on the bait. A quick decision to cut the other rig ended up paying off. It was a great fight for Dave, he almost got pulled in twice. There were a lot of greenies that came up as it started to calm. We continued fishing and caught a few Bonita, Spanish Mackerel, and Blues. It was a good day filled with action. The weather is warm and sunny, but the winds are still blowing hard out of the East. I picked Cornelius, Patricia, and Mike up at Capt. Hiram’s.  With the winds as bad as they were there were not a whole lot of options. We fished some of the flats back behind the Inlet. Been spotting some schools of mullet moving around the flats. Mike caught the first two fish, that were Trout. The three of them were catching Blues, Jacks, and ladyfish every few casts. Patricia caught a decent Spanish Mackerel. A lot of action and a beautiful day on the water even with the strong winds. Nice to see the river coming back to life. Thanks again Cornelius, Patricia, Mike for fishing with me.
