What a great day. The bait was just outside the Inlet and the Kings are going nuts. My brother Ken was over with his friend Tre.  We kind of had a late night on Friday, so we were late to the dock in the morning. Once we finally got going we had no problem getting bait. We  fished the inside along the beaches. We caught a few kings and a Bonita. After playing with the Kings we decided to go and catch a few Seabass. The weather was perfect and it was just a great day of fishing with my Bro. Tre, it was a pleasure meeting, fishing, and drinking with you all weekend, now hurry up with the pics! Clint and his Family fished with me a few years back. The weather was nice but the seas were picking up. There was a light wind in the morning out of the S.E. We fished for a bit just outside the inlet. There was plenty of bait pods to get our greenies. Drake caught a Bonita. Clint was wanting to try his luck with a Goliath. I headed offshore just in time because once we made it out, the winds picked up. We slow trolled some lives and caught a few kingfish and a lot of Barracuda. After the family had there action, it was time for Clint to test his skills.Clint( The man) pulled it off. On his 3rd chance( hook up)he got a Goliath to swim away from the Buoy. 30 mins  later we landed a nice size Goliath. I love seeing and grabbing those sea monsters when there next to the boat. That was a very cool moment. Clint was so stoked to land it. Just seeing how happy he was, keeps me stoked. Another great Memory! Thanks again Clint and Tracy!

The three were in Orlando, doing the Disney thing with the Family. They booked me for a day offshore. The winds were light S.E. and seas were 2-3. The Water temp is cold.  The tide right now is incoming first thing at light. There bait pods still holding on the beach. They were mostly Spanish Sardines with a few Thread fins mixed in. We fished in 60ft. and caught a lot Kings and a small Barracuda. Jake caught the biggie of the day that was 42lbs. Nice King!!  It was a good day, a lot of action. The weather has just been so perfect. Hot, but perfect calm. Everyday has been a sheet of glass and I have been able to run full speed. There have been some afternoon thunderstorms to watch out for. Today Thom came over from the west coast and we fished it up. I dipped a few crabs on the way out and the greenies were still thick along the beaches. We ran the beach for a bit and found a school of bait with some BIG JACKS! Thom caught a monster that was 30lb. also a Bonita and a small Cobia as well. There was action all day. We were catching Kings, Barracudas, and Bonita until we were worn out. That is when Thom hooked into a big Permit with one of the three crabs we had in the well. He was fishing with 10lb. test and 25lb. leader. After a 30 min. fight Thom finally pulled the 32lb. fish into the net. Congrats  Thomas!! On the way back we picked up a decent keeper Cobia on the slow troll. Great day! Lots of reel screaming, rod bending action! Thanks again Thom it was great fishing with you again, it had been awhile. Gary from N.Y. The weather has been HOT! The winds were calm and the only breeze was when we were running. Gary being from N.Y. was struggling a bit with the heat. The bait was thick on the beach. Greenies and Sardines still holding strong.  We fished for  about an hour along the beach and no luck. In 55ft. there were some schools of blue runners on the surface. We trolled a few lives. Gary caught 3 or 4 nice Kingfish. We lost a big one close to 50lbs. It skyrocketed on a bait and we were hooked up! About 2 runs in to the fight the fish broke my rig. #4 wire. It was a big fish! We bottomed dropped in 90 and caught few Seabass and a decent dolphin, about 7 or 8lbs. There were two nice size Cobia that swam up to the boat, they wouldn’t eat a thing. On the way back in we played with a few more kings and called it a day. Thanks again Gary it was a pleasure fishing and getting to know you. Hope your keys trip went well!!!
