Capt. Eric Russ and Garrett
Russ and Garrett have fished with a few times in the past. Garrett is from Atlanta and his Father Russ lives here in Melbourne Beach. Like the past 2 weeks the weather was perfect today. We departed from the Inlet Marina. We started off jigging around the Sebastian Inlet. We caught lots of Blues and Jacks, plus a couple of Spanish Mackerel. No Pompano.
After lots of jigging, we went and caught bait for the outgoing tide. The tide switched at 12 p.m. The Redfish bite started around 1 p.m. Garett hooked up and landed his Redfish first which was 24lbs. Russ caught the next and biggest which was 32 lbs. The Blues were so thick it was really hard to get past them in order to get a Redfish bite. Garrett caught 2 more Reds before we ran out of bait.
