Decemeber Fishing Report

December 14, 2011
Capt. Eric

Happy Holidays to everyone! Sorry I have not been blogging in a few weeks. The fishing has been slow. The weather has been really windy and not so good overall. I have definitely been fishing more than I have been catching. 🙂

Offshore-  Well, not many reports because the ocean has been so blown-out for weeks.  Winter is the time of year for those Groupers if you can make it out. Get them before the season closes on Jan. 1st – April 30th. Well everything else is just closed! lol, sad but true!

Inshore-  Its Flounder time in the Sebastian Inlet and there has been some really nice fish being caught this past month. Finger Mullet are the best bait for that doormat.  With Trout season closed and water temperatures dropping look for Pompano to start showing up on the flats and in the surf. Snook season closes Dec. 15th. so remember to release with care.
