Friday, April 4th, 2008Warren and Miguel
Warren and Miguel are from the Merritt Island area and wanted to check out the night action at Sebastian Inlet. We left the Ramp at 5:30 and went to find our bait for the evening. The croakers were kind of hard to get. We managed to get about 2 dozen. We also had about 6 or 7 pins.
The tide was incoming at dark. Slack tide was at 9:30 p.m. Miguel hooked up and landed the first Redfish of the night. Miguel had the hot hand at first, catching the 2nd fish as well. On the third drift Warren hooked up and Miguel hooked up and they both landed there Reds, that was fun. Warren caught one more Redfish. We decided to try for the Snook with the rest of the baits. It was tough fishing. we missed a few Snook hits. Warren got the hook set on his third hit and landed his Max. keeper Snook 32″. That was a great job. The inlet can be hard to fish. Enjoy the Snook! Thanks Warren and Miguel for the trip.
Sebastian area fishing report…
Thursday, April 3rd, 2008Hey this is Capt. Eric
The weekend was nice. Last Friday the action was hot with lots of Cobia being caught just south of the Port Canaveral. Saturday wasn’t so hot, but still some nice Cobia were caught. The Dolphin are starting to show up, with a few reports of some nice big Dolphin. The bottom seems to be a little dirty with the swells, not much happening there. The Inshore fishing was really slow earlier in the week. The water temp. is coming up quickly and the Reds and Trout should start being active. I have all ready had some good reports from today. The Inlet fishing at night is hot. The Reds are thick and the Snook are still a little tough. If anyone has any ?’s please feel free to ask. Keep fishing !!!
