Monday, April 21st, 2008Thom and Chuck
All right here we go. What can I say the fishing was not that hot. We had some missed opportunities, but still the bite was not that strong. The tide switched to incoming at 6 p.m. The bait was nearly impossible, we only ended up with a dozen or so baits. Chuck hooked and landed a nice keeper Snook. Chuck must of had the hot hand. He landed a few big Reds as well. Thom did land himself a nice Red. I hope your not to frustrated on that night, Thom? Thats just the way that place is. It can leave the best fisherman in the world humble at times. I cant tell you how many times that I have left that place claiming that I would not fish there again for awhile. Thom, seriously thanks for fishing with me. Well get them in May.

Monday, April 21st, 2008Harvey
Harvey is from Rochester, N.Y. I picked Harvey up around 5 p.m. Bait fishing was a little tough. The inlet tide is incoming starting around 5 p.m. At dark we had plenty of baits. The moon was full and coming up at dark. The bite was pretty good. Harvey caught a few Reds and a Snook that was just a little short. I fished a couple of baits and managed to land a keeper Snook and a keeper Red. Harvey, I hope you enjoyed the fish! It was great fishing with you.

Monday, April 21st, 2008Fishing report…Sebastian, Fl.
Wednesday, April 16th, 2008OFFSHORE- The Dolphin are here. Last weekend was awesome. Lots of big Dolphin. I had reports of 3 or 4 fish in the 60lbs. range and lots of fish in the 20lb to 40lb range. If the winds lay down as predicted then this might be another great weekend to get offshore. There are few Wahoo as well being caught.
INSHORE- With this last front and the strong winds. Fishing might be a little slow and the water may be a little dirty for a day or two. Once it cleans up look for some Trout on the flats. There have been a lot of smaller fish. There is always a chance that Redfish will be around. The inlet has been slow during the days. The evening has plenty of over sized Reds and a Snook here and there. Fishing is getting good. Everything is starting to happen, you better get your tackle ready.
Keep it reel !

Monday, April 14th, 2008John and Jim
I picked John and Jim up at Capt. Hiram’s. We picked up some greenies outside the inlet. I saw a few Bonita thrashing on some bait. We were not able to get a cast off at them. The tide was outgoing all morning. Incoming starts around 1 p.m. The weather was nice up until 11 a.m. The winds started to blow strong 15 to 20 mph out of the north. We caught a few Jacks and missed a few Blue fish hits. It was a slow day around the inlet.
Saturday, 4-12-08 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Monday, April 14th, 2008David, John, and Steve
The three are from palm bay area. We met up at Capt. Hiram’s and set off to catch our bait for the evening. I figured we get a few Croakers and then move in and get a few Pins. We’ll we got into the Croakers pretty thick. There is no reason to catch pins when you can have Croakers. The conditions were a little rough, but these were some good old boys and they could handle it. We caught our bait right up till it got dark.
With a live well full of Croakers we headed to the inlet. On the first drift David hooked and landed his first Redfish. Steve landed the next Redfish. The action was hot, we got a lot of hits. David and Steve double hooked and landed Snook. David’s fish was just short at 27 1/2 inches. Steve’s fish was just in there at 28 1/2. John caught the biggest Red of the night. David caught his keeper that 31″ and fat. The tide was going out most of the night. It was rough and wet fishing. This was a great trip. These three guys were fun to fish with. Thanks David, Steve, and John.
Fishing Report…
Saturday, April 12th, 2008Offshore- The Dolphin are here, reports are good. There were some big fish caught today. Try the weed lines in 100+ft. The Bottom is a little dirty, after the strong winds we just had. There is tons of weeds inshore, look for Triple Tail on inshore patches.
Inshore- The water temp. is rising everyday and fishing is improving as well. The flats have been producing some smaller Trout with the occasional Red. Reports of Snook at night have been decent. Try cast netting some greenies. Inside the inlet the tide is outgoing in the mornings and slack around 10 a.m. switching to incoming.
Keep it reel and go fish !
