Bob, Sands, and John

Sands with his Redfish, John, and Bob Bob, Sands and John like to fish the Inlet at night. This was there first trip out aboard the Attitude Adjustment. We met up at the Inlet at 3:30 p.m. We set off to catch our bait for the night. The bait was thick, all pins. After an hour we had plenty of bait and decided to go check out the flats before dark. The tide was low and there was not much happening. John had one hit on a top water plug. With it getting dark it was time to go to the Inlet.

The tide was incoming when we pulled up. With the conditions pretty calm we were able to fish the mouth. It took a few drifts and Sands was first to hook up and he landed his first Redfish of the night. Sands caught the next Redfish as well, this one was a biggie. Bob also had caught and released a small Snook while I was netting Sands fish. John was next to put a fatty Red on the boat. After a few break-offs, He finally landed a nice Red on light tackle. All and all it was a good night. A lot of Redfish out in the mouth and some small Snook in by the fenders. Everyone had a fair share of action.

Thanks Bob, Sands, and John for a great evening of fishing. It was a pleasure. Thanks again until next time.

Tyler, Steve, and Dave

Tyler Redfish It is Tyler’s B-day. Him and his friends Steve and Dave were up to catch some big fish. I have known Tyler since he was 3 or 4 now he is 15. Wow years go by pretty fast. My daughter is almost 15 as well. Well any way the weather was windy. With a huge cold front approaching, it was going to be close before the rain was to hit. We left from the Sebastian Inlet at 4 p.m. and set off to catch our bait. It was tough, we went 7 or 8 spots before we finally got into the pins.

It was dark and time to fish. The tide was the end of incoming and the wind was NW. The drift was pretty much at a stand still. We fished for a bit, Steve was first to hook up and the first to lose one. Once we started to move with our drift we started to hook up. Tyler was 1st to hook up and land a big Redfish. The bite was on the Reds were there. Steve and Dave each caught a nice Red. Tyler ended with 3 Redfish. Steve lost a big fish, I think it was a Goliath. The tide was starting to move out and there was a swell coming through so we had to fish the fenders. Tyler caught 2 small snook with pins. The storm was getting close and it was time to get out of there. We got some good pictures on the night.  Happy B-day Tyler !

Glenn C.

Glenn C. 1-14-08 Glenn is from Maryland. He comes down for a few day of fishing. He was wanting to try something a bit different and heard of me. I don’t know if that is good or bad. We were gonna try our luck with a night trip. We met at Capt. Hiram’s at 3:30 p.m. and set off to catch our bait. Plenty of pigs and pins. The weather was a bit chilly with a light west wind and the tide was outgoing most of the evening.

After bait fishing we tried to catch a grouper but no luck. From there it was off to the Inlet. we set up for a drift on the east side. A few drifts and Glenn hooked up with a nice Red. We set up a pug and He caught himself a fat Snook 20lbs plus. Glenn caught a big Red as well on a plug. He caught one last Big Monster Red on a live bait. The bite was a little slow. Glenn did a great job of landing 4 nice big fish. Thanks again Glenn.

Murph, Melissa, and Nick

Attitude Adjustment The weather was perfect calm, warm, and sunny. Reports were that the Tripletail are around. I offered to take a few good friends on mine up to the Port Canaveral and check it out. Its been awhile since I have been up there. I know it petty good, I use to catch a lot of fish there before 9-11. Well now they have opened the area up known as the bite.

We arrived at 9 a.m. and made our way out with a few dozen live Shrimp. We fished a few buoys and made our way out and came across some huge patches of weed. We searched for awhile and saw a few small Trips and 2 that were over 20lbs. We spooked both and I did manage to hook up a Trip that was around 10lbs. but it threw the hook half way through the fight.

It was getting to be afternoon and we were starting to wonder what was up with the lack of fish. We searched a bit more and started to make our way back in. I would never of guessed what was about to happen. Well I would of but I was not expecting it this soon in the year. We ran over 2 Rays and I saw a fish on 1. I quickly turned and spotted the Rays they were straight down. I dropped a big Shrimp down and hooked up with a nice Cobia. It wasn’t long until I lost it. That was o.k. because there were rays everywhere we looked. It didn’t take long and I hooked up another Cobia. This one we landed it was about 36 inches. We searched a bit more and Nick was next to get a fat Cobia. We landed that one was a little bigger than the first. I hooked up again next with a fatty a little over 40lbs. That was awesome what a bite that was. We ended with 6 Cobia. What a day ! That was a lot of fun.
